Boston, Massachusetts—- Off-Campus Advantage, LLC (OCA), a leading provider of off-campus payment services for colleges and universities— formally known as SA Cash— has debuted their new proprietary high-speed DSL transaction technology. Already known for their revolutionary central server technology which eliminates modem banks and phone lines, OCA’s new offering guarantees merchants sub five-second transaction times, as well as ‘tip now’ and ‘tip later’ functionality and the ability to process bank, credit and gift cards, along with the university ID, all on one terminal.
Additional features of the new technology include:
- Nightly auto settlement— universities no longer need to cut checks to individual merchants.
- Dial back-up for instances when the Internet goes down.
- Eliminates the need for a second phone line.
- Integrates seamlessly with many systems, including CS Gold.
“Our user-friendly, Internet-based technology greatly reduces transaction time for merchants accepting the University ID as a form of payment,” said Sami Takieddine, Director, Client Services for Off-Campus Advantage. “This, coupled with nightly funds settlement, creates a simple integration with the processes a merchant is already utilizing.”
Working with university and merchant partners, the OCA development team created the new technology to complement new and existing University ID programs, while meeting the specific needs of the universities and merchants that participate in them. “We’re very excited to be able to offer OCA’s high-speed technology to merchants participating in the JMU JACard Program,” said Becky Hinkle, Director, Business Services, James Madison University. “Our merchants are pleased with the speedier transaction times, and that they only need one terminal for all their card processing needs.”
